Abortion Information

If you’re considering abortion in Georgia, you may have questions. Our caring team is here to help to help you process the information available.

Being informed is the first step in making an empowered decision.

As a patient in the state of Georgia, you have rights by law and specific information is required to be made available to you to protect you throughout the abortion process. It is your right to be informed, to know what procedure might be used, and to hear the risks associated with each.

When signing consent for an abortion, you are acknowledging you have been informed of:

  • Your medical risks associated with the chosen procedure.

  • The probable age of the fetus at the time the abortion is scheduled.

If you are unsure of the answers to those points, there are free services available to help! A pre-abortion assessment is offered at CORE Healthcare for Women. This assessment includes services recommended by the World Health Organization before having an abortion. Learn more here.
